Surrounded by Regency architecture, 19th century bathhouses and beautiful parks, there couldn’t be a better location for this Bill’s. Housed in an original art deco building with exposed beams, chandeliers and vintage mirrors, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back to the 1920s – for a little while anyway.
Bill’s menu has all the standard and classic British meals that we all know and love on its menu, such as the Bill’s Fish pie. If you are a fussy eater, this is the ideal place, because as well as exciting menu options (crab and courgette risotto, mojo-marinated chicken skewers and pan fried sea bass, say) there is also a selection of burgers, including buttermilk chicken and halloumi, or steaks.
If you tend to be a bit more adventurous when it comes to food, try the daily dinner specials – a different dish to discover each night. Wednesdays, you can order pan-fried salmon with veggies and a herb rosti and on Thursdays, chicken Milanese with watermelon and a smoky tomato mayonnaise is up for grabs. There are plenty more dishes to discover for yourself, too.
Since you’re dining in a restaurant that looks reminiscent of something out of the 20s, it only makes sense to go all out and drink like you’re in the roaring 20s too. Luckily Bill’s has a long list of cocktails you can choose from. Try the Hedgerow Fizz if bubbles are your thing. If not, Bloody Mary’s, watermelon margaritas and Espresso Martinis are on the menu too.
If you don’t happen to be visiting for dinner, the all-day dining menu means that you can visit whatever time you choose. Whether it is for brunch, cocktails, a full three-course meal with the family or a quick tea-time snack served with cream tea and a selection of cakes, Bills has you covered.
