The best Greenwich restaurants

Aside from its colourful history, Greenwich is also a great place to dine out. Whether you’ve got the family in tow or it’s a grownups only affair, these Greenwich restaurants have plenty to offer.

Updated on 21 August 2019

The London borough of Greenwich is an area which is steeped in history, best known for its past as one of the capital’s thriving maritime hubs. Some institutions from days gone by remain, such as the Old Royal Naval College and 19th century ship The Cutty Sark. There are more modern attractions too though, such as the O2 Arena (formerly known as the Millennium Dome), while the Thames-side location and expansive Greenwich Park, which houses the famous Royal Observatory, are further reasons to visit.

Aside from its interesting history, Greenwich is also an area that’s home to a slew of great restaurants. Whether you’re looking for somewhere to eat in the O2 before seeing your favourite singer belt out their greatest hits, or you’re on the lookout for a family-friendly restaurant which will welcome the little ones with open arms, our pick of the best Greenwich restaurants should have what you’re looking for.

You can get started on our pick of Greenwich restaurants below, and remember that every venue that has been included has been hand-picked by our team of professional critics. From vegan fast food to meaty burgers, and family-friendly haunts to boozy Champagne afternoon teas, our list of the best Greenwich restaurants should have a little something for everyone.
