I have not been here for a few months but really enjoyed lunch. Food was served quickly and was very good. Service was informative and we went with recommendations that were excellent. Next time I will leave it to the experts who work at Barcelona to recommend my food and drink.

Fresh Fabulous Food & People!
Well, as always, lovely Spanish speaking staff, always a pleasure to go to this restaurant in the city. Fresh gambas, spicy chorizo and the best table in the house is the bar if just two of you. Highly recommend this for a nice office treat if in the city and even if for a meeting. Normal dining tables are nice and a nnice traditional spanish atmosphere. :) Been coming here for over 4 years and can't fault it....

Great evening
Was very impressed with this place when visiting with a group for a birthday party with about 15 people. Great décor and good atmosphere with background music. Plenty of choice in food and drink including for gave plenty vegetarians and really nice non alcoholic cocktails. The manager Miguel really made the evening, he was very attentive and accommodating re: a birthday cake we could bring in which was brought out accompanied by music. Staff were all very friendly and polite with high quality service. The food was also delicious eg high quality chorizo. Several set menus available and huge tapas menu. There were some alcove areas that also looked good for smaller groups/couples.

Good service, decent wine list and a varied authentic sounding menu.
Sadly, I think it is slightly let down by the quality of the raw ingredients, so the finished dishes are not quite good enough. Also the seasoning of the dishes was really hit and miss. For example, the Prawns in White wine, garlic and Chilli had little flavour and were obviously previously frozen prawns. Same goes for the lamb infused with garlic and lemon-had they forgotten the garlic and lemon?
So hit and miss really. Better attention to seasoning and better quality basic ingredients would really improve the food. Can't fault anything else.

My favourite branch of this excellent Tapas chain, thanks to its fresh decor, buzzing environment – and above all, superbly attentive service. While it lacks the open space and balcony of the Middlesex Street branch, this is more than made up for by the overall dining experience. The food remains the best Tapas in the City, with a vast range and very reasonable pricing meaning that your table is never quite big enough for all the plates you ordered…

Barcelona Tapas Bar y Restaurante really impressed me. Real authentic spanish food, good service and great for Lunch.
Barcelona Tapas can get very busy so booking is a good idea , however the manager quickly organised us a table. We Went there recently in the evening aswell and had a fantastic night lovely relaxing atmosphere.
The wine list is a treat with most areas in spain covered, the own label Rioja is a superb and great value at £15.95, they also have a strong range of top end wines including superb Ribera del Duero's which considering the quality are quite keen on price.(Condado Oriza Reserva £39.95.
The quality and range of the tapas match the Wine list. Gambas Ajillo (sizzling prawns)were sublime.The Patatas Bravas ( Fried potatoes in a spicy piquant sauce) I have tasted here or in Spain.
I cannot recommend Barcelona Tapas Bar y Restaurante highly enough.
