This sports bar and café within Trafford Hall Hotel is just a stone’s throw away from the Old Trafford, making it a great spot for a pre- or post-match drink or bite to eat. Or, if you’d rather watch a game from the comfort of an armchair, 1887 Bar and Café has multiple TV screens showing Sky Sports, so you can keep up to speed with all sports, from football and rugby to NFL, tennis, basketball, golf, boxing and other major tournaments.
It might be synonymous with sports, but that’s not to say that this bar and café doesn’t serve up a decent plate of food. Hotel guests and non-hotel guests are welcome to kick back in the contemporary lounge for meals throughout the day, from breakfast right through to a late-night snack. The kitchen majors in pizza and burgers, though there are other options besides including light bites such as pasta salad and mac and cheese, and mains such as steak and fish and chips.
Pizzas are made with dough made fresh in-house every day. Choose from marinara or a white bechamel sauce and opt for toppings such as ham, mushrooms, anchovies, pepperoni and vegetables. All pizzas cost less than a tenner, making it a great option for lunch or dinner.
There’s also plenty of choice when it comes to burgers at 1887 Bar and Café, so whether you’re in the mood for a classic cheeseburger, a Mexican-style burger or a full-on American burger (which comes stuffed with onion rings, gherkins, lettuce, red onion and garlic mayo), the choice is yours. All burgers are homemade and served on brioche with a side of fries. Vegetarian and vegan options are available too.
The bar is always fully stocked with bottled beers and ciders, a range of spirits and plenty of mixers and softs.
