Who needs to leave London when you can get your very own slice of sunny English countryside in the middle of the City? Bourne & Hollingsworth’s Beautiful Allotment is the summer pop-up that allows you to do just that.

This is no average pop-up with the usual food stalls and limited cocktail offering – this is a living and organic outdoor space inspired by a home-grown allotment. Occupying the Victorian gardens of the Geffrye Museum in east London between 25 July and 3 September, the botanical pocket will put on workshops, films and live music throughout the summer.

It’ll also be available for events: the venue can be hired exclusively for up to 250 party goers. If you’re looking for something more intimate though, private areas like potting sheds, day beds and greenhouses can be booked for a minimum of six guests each. It’s not a proper country retreat or allotment without the correct mode of transport. So, there’s a custom tractor with a vintage trailer in place to ferry groups of up to 30 to and from the allotment.

Vegans and veggies alike will go mental for the sustainable cocktails that are on offer, made from ingredients grown on-site. The millennial obsession with shrubs and gardening will also be fed, wheelbarrow bars will be used to serve drinks and, naturally, there will be plenty of vegetable patches and trailing plants.

The food comes in the form of wholesome, locally sources barbeque platters (don’t worry, it’s not just meat!), and with the people behind B & H Buildings at the wheel, we’re expecting the grub to be good.
