We take a look at some of our favourite London screening rooms for presentations, meetings and immersive film-focused events
USP It’s the UK’s oldest commercial cinema
After a full-scale refurbishment in summer 2018, it now offers a 136-seat 4DX screen, which uses wind, fog, snow, lightning, bubbles, water and a variety of scents to bring screenings to life. It also has the city’s only laser Imax screen (brighter, sharper, better) for private screenings, product launches and conferences.
USP Really comfy seats + the addition of beanbags
You better watch out for people falling asleep as the 36 seats and additional option of beanbags are seriously comfortable. The intimate and luxurious screening room offers HD and 3D presentation technology and the nearby Forest Room or Bellini Bar can be used for pre or post screening drinks.
USP High-end facilities
Inside this luxe venue, you’ll find The May Fair Theatre with 201 seats. It’s kitted out with Italian-leather trimmed seats with fold-out tables, cinema-quality equipment such as a THX sound system and a green room with live video and audio feeds.
USP A favourite among scientists, artists, authors and politicians
This theatre has a long (200 years) and proud tradition of elite thinkers expressing their opinions and ideas. The circular shape of the space also creates a special connection with the audience. The quality of the lighting, audio-visual equipment, seating and flooring was improved with a refurbishment in 2008.
USP It’s luxe reclining seats
Refurbished in 2017 to offer a more luxurious experience for guests, this north London screening room is now opulently kitted out. The new Oscars Bar is equipped for drinks receptions, and makes a useful breakout space for conferences. For something extra special, take over the Imax screen.
USP Stylish surroundings
Interiors are suitably cool at this east London cinema, which offers a range of independent world cinema films that can be booked for private group screenings. Each room comes with reclining seats, and three of the four have their own bars. Cheers to that!
