Here’s why your team should head to London City Beach this summer

Planning the office summer party is always a daunting task, but we think we’ve got the solution – a team trip to the beach. Push aside images of standing around in the cold in Margate or pushing through the crowds in Brighton, as this year you can visit a sandy shore without having to step foot outside of London.

Situated behind the London Eye and Royal Festival Hall, the London City Beach is a brand new corporate and public event space which would make a great setting for a corporate summer party that’s a little out of the ordinary.

The brainchild of event organisers Awesome Events, the pop up venue will be open throughout June and July of this year, and will feature plenty to keep you and your colleagues entertained – think food stalls, craft beer, live music, garden games, beach bars, and of course…tonnes of sand!

Well suited to large corporate functions, the venue is available exclusively for corporate events of 400-1500 guests during the week and open to the general public on Saturday and Sundays.

There are a variety of shared packages available, starting from £45 per head. The ‘summer loving’ package (£45 per person + VAT) includes food and drinks tokens, a beach-themed photo stand, a surf simulator and more, while the ‘Cabana Club’ package (£100 per person + VAT) adds on beach hut hire and unlimited house beer, wine, cider and soft drinks.

Although primarily for corporate hire, London City Beach will also open up to the public on weekends and for special events. These will include two Ibiza beach parties on 15-16 June and 13-14 July. At these parties, you’ll be able to make the most of glitter face painting, table tennis, a disco, and a bubble magician. Plus, if you turn up in beach fancy dress, you won’t have to pay the entry fee!

With lots to keep even the most sun-averse of your colleagues entertained, we reckon that London City Beach will be one of the hottest party destinations this summer.

If you want to stay outside all summer long, take your pick from these London venues with outdoor event space.
