With the Premier League kicking off next week, we've got sports on our minds. Here's our top sporting venues.
USP Being able to book Olympic-themed teambuilding games on the track
In 2012, London Stadium played host to the world’s greatest athletes. Now, the home of West Ham United makes for an exciting spot for meetings, dinners and away days. Our favourite space is the Arnold Hills room, where meetings come with views over the pitch. Guests can even tie in a tour of the changing rooms, players tunnel and dugout.
USP For football fanatics, duh
We figured we might as well start with a Premier League venue, and this west London institution is a big one as it’s home to Chelsea FC. Private tours of the museum and stadium can be arranged for groups of up to 10, and the pitch-facing rooms offer a great backdrop for meetings.
USP Sophisticated and seasonal catering
You already know Ascot for its iconic race days and the classy hospitality options that come with them, but did you know it has 300 meeting and dining rooms for you to host your own events? Catering by Sodexo is a strong suit too, with the option for menus to be paired with vintage wines and champagnes.
USP The home of cricket
We like this one for the diversity of event spaces it offers. Choose the Long Room for high ceilings and historic artwork, the newly refurbished JP Morgan Media Centre for great ground views, or the world’s oldest sports museum, which doubles as a reception space for drinks.
USP A secret cellar
Pitch-facing meeting rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows are a big draw at the England rugby team’s home, but who’d have thought that within the West Stand you’d find a cellar for private dining groups of up to 14 too? Expect seven-course dinners under vaulted stone ceilings with candle chandeliers.
And if you haven’t quite found what you’re looking for, there are plenty more sporting venues to be found here
