A roundup of three top meeting spaces, fresh from a revamp

Chinese fusion restaurant
Cha Chaan Teng’s new conferencing suite for up to 150 guests is a bright, contemporary venue – a counterpoint to the restaurant’s ‘1950s Pan Am’ look upstairs. It splits into two spaces: the Alumni Suite takes up to 90, and 30 can fit in the Boardroom. Food from the restaurant can be served in the spaces.
Glaziers Hall
This Grade II-listed gem has reopened with a contemporary look and a third more floorspace than before – including two new riverside rooms and an extra basement level. But rest easy, the building’s period features are intact. There’s even a wine cellar in that basement, with an original Yorkstone floor and restored Georgian brick arches.
The Mermaid
The Thamesside venue has reopened its Upper River Room following a £750,000 refurbishment. The project saw ceilings raised, pillars removed and a new floor added, giving up to 500 guests better views across the river. The Blackfriars venue is home to eight meeting and event spaces, including a 600-seat auditorium.
