This prestigious venue is ideal for a variety of events from drinks receptions to business conferences and more, offering a unique and grand backdrop for any occasion. Japan House is set within a charming historical listed building and has a plethora of great spaces on offer. The lower ground floor encompasses a gallery, a hall, and a library. The ground floor is a social retail space, while the first floor features a Japanese restaurant and a Tatami room. The spaces accommodate from a minimum of 8 people for cosy affairs to 180 standing guests, and a variety of flexible options in between. The hall and the Tatami room are both private areas, excellent for exclusive events or group dinners.
The rooms are all fully equipped with ultra HD screens, which can be used for promoting branding and presentations. The house also features a dedicated screening room with tiered seating, video conferencing facilities, projectors, stationary, Wi-Fi, disabled access, and full AV functionalities.
Drinks receptions can accommodate up to 170 guests, conferences can cater for 140, and there's room to host dinners for 100, while small meeting rooms or the private dining rooms can seat 12 guests.
Catering is provided externally for events and Japan House has a list of preferred suppliers. In addition, as a centre for Japanese culture, exclusive exhibitions on art, technology, and design can be hired to complement any event hosted at the house. There is no minimum spend for room hire.
