Located in the heart of Birmingham's buzzy city centre, IET's Austin Court is a stunning venue which offers a wide range of different spaces that can be hired out for a whole host of different types of event. Bursting with character, the Grade II-listed building is comprised of fourteen different spaces, which range from small meeting rooms to a lecture theatre that is great for talks and conferences. With the outdoor courtyard area also available for hire, the possibilities are endless when it comes to hosting an event at Austin Court.
The red-brick building is found just a stone's throw from the canal meaning that waterside views are ensured at Austin Court, while its many period features add a further level of charm to the venue. However, this charm is balanced with impressive modern technology so that state-of-the-art events can take place at Austin Court. This includes hybrid events, which allow you to combine the perks of a physical event with the reach of a virtual one.
In terms of the different spaces on offer at Austin Court, the largest is the Kingston Lecture Theatre which has a capacity of 150 and features a large stage at the front, and auditorium-style seating. For smaller-scale events, the three lodges can fit 50, 18, and 30 people respectively and have gorgeous exposed beams on the ceiling making them good spots for weddings as well as business events. The adjoining walls of the lodges can also be removed to create one larger space.
More intimate spaces on offer at Austin Court include the Brindley, Boulton, and Faraday rooms which all benefit from the same period charm as the rest of the building. These can be hired by themselves as spaces for meetings, interviews and talks, or can be used in conjunction with other spaces for more major events.
