Less formidable than the neo-classical main mansion, but just as scenically placed, the Gosford Estate’s exclusive-use six-bedroom beachfront villa Green Craig is one of only a handful of houses
situated by the sea in East Lothian. With its own 50-capacity function room, it’s a great self-contained facility for smaller meetings, yet it’s also well placed for corporate getaways. Direct
beach access allows for shore-side activities and some of the best wildlife watching in the county. All of the six en-suite bedrooms offer sea views and can be set up as either twin or double
rooms, taking the head count up to 12, while the design of each incorporates Scotland’s finest wools, tweeds and cashmeres. A small team of staff is on hand to organise airport transfers, dinner
reservations, golf tee times for the estate’s golf course Craigielaw, or guests can go for the ‘total privacy’ option. Rates start at £3,000 (inc. VAT) for 12 people per week.
