With a history that harks back to 1429, Carpenters’ Hall has been a venue for meeting, eating and entertaining for hundreds of years. While there have been three iterations of the building, the current architecture was erected in 1960 and continues to be the perfect place to host and entertain.
Nowadays the space can accommodate 350 guests for receptions or 220 people for a sit-down dinner, and with various rooms to make your own it really can be tailored to any event. There are three main spaces – the Entrance Hall, the Reception and the Livery Hall. With beautiful original detailing, the rooms each have an individual look and feel.
Antique panelling and oil paintings surround the walls to create a comfortable, classic backdrop to any situation, and previous functions have included exhibitions and displays as well as business meetings and private dinners. Additionally, aside from the halls, there are a couple of meeting spaces – the Court and the Luncheon rooms – which can be made available if you’d like breakout spaces or to host a presentation, for instance.
If it’s a meal or drinks reception you’re looking for, everything is taken care of by Party Ingredients.
