Brewhemia

If you’re looking for a large and impressive space in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town to hire for an event, there aren’t many better than Brewhemia. At one point the home of the iconic Scotsman newspaper, the building has now been converted into a huge Bavarian-style beer house which certainly isn’t lacking in wow-factor.

From the foliage-draped entrance on Market Street, all the way through to the unbeatable selection of different beers on offer, Brewhemia is a wonderfully unique space. What’s more, the variety of different rooms and bars available for hire within Brewhemia mean that it’s hugely adaptable and can be used for a variety of different events, whether that’s a large party, a dinner, or a meeting.

For large scale corporate events, parties, and big private dinners, The Beer Palace is a fantastic option. Sitting right at the centre of Brewhemia, it features two separate bars, impressive light fittings hanging from the high roof, and a huge speaker system. Able to fit up to 800 people standing or 150 sitting down, The Beer Palace is a space for major events and the layout can be altered to suit your specific requirements.

Elsewhere, The Boudoir is a much more intimate affair. Featuring brightly coloured furnishings and seats upholstered in velvet, this smaller bar has a real feeling of class to it. With a capacity of 80 standing, and 40 seated, it’s an ideal space for everything from birthday celebrations, to upmarket networking events.

The similar-sized Bothy offers a completely different ambience with its après ski theming - think leather arm chairs, wooden floors and a small wood burner – and is again a great option for smaller parties. Finally, the Spritz Bar has a more relaxed atmosphere to it, and can play host to one of the resident pianists if you so wish.
