Banking Hall, a Camm & Hooper venue, bills itself as a space ‘where grandeur meets glamour’ and it’s a fitting description. Just a few minutes from Bank tube station which is on the Central, Northern and Waterloo & City lines, Banking Hall boasts an enviable central London location that is easily accessible, as well as a mezzanine level that overlooks the Bank of England for any history buffs among your party. The real appeal here though, is the venue’s art-deco aesthetic, which is most evident in its Main Hall.
The Main Hall is a Grade II-listed space which is best suited to receptions, dinners and conferences. The grand staircase sets the tone, while marble columns, high ceilings and art-deco light fixtures complete the pretty picture. The Main Hall can host up to 620 guests for a standing Champagne and canapés reception, while seated dinners can include up to 280 diners with tables set up in either a round or square formation.
If you’re on the hunt for a space that’s a tad smaller, but just as seductive, check out The Counting Room. Entered via original art-deco era lifts, The Counting Room is home to floods of natural light in the daytime thanks to large windows and mirrored surfaces, while come the evening it’s blessed with the gorgeous backdrop of the City’s glittering skyline. Able to host 280 guests for a standing reception or 150 for a sit-down meal on square or round tables, The Counting Room also comes with its own bar, which you’d be a fool not to make use of.
High-end glamour may well be the order of the day here, but this isn’t a case of style over substance. That’s because Banking Hall also boasts an in-house production and AV team to ensure that all events run smoothly, whether it be a banquet, Champagne reception or corporate function.
