A key member of the Jockey Club’s impressive portfolio, the course at Aintree near Liverpool is among the best suited to conferences. It’s home, of course, to British horse racing’s most famous event, The Crabbie’s Grand National, and the venue has plenty of experience in hospitality and party hosting as well. For conferencing, there are 15 meeting spaces to choose from, with the venue’s vast Equestrian Centre able to seat up to 4,500 delegates theatre style. Its size also makes it a natural choice for large-scale exhibitions. Alternatively, you could hire a more characterful space such as the Winner’s Bar – formerly the course’s weighing room – for a drinks reception, followed by a dinner in one of a variety of suites. For breakout or teambuilding, there is a 30-bay floodlit driving range and a nine-hole golf course to enjoy. Ample free parking (with 1,800 spaces) and free Wi-Fi complete the offering.
