It’s well known that the Christmas period is a time for glamour and frivolity, and Radio Rooftop at Covent Garden’s ME London hotel has festive sparkle in spades. Found 10 floors high (and often fully booked), Radio Rooftop boasts striking views across the river Thames and of London’s glittering skyline.
The rooftop space is accessed via a dedicated express lift found on the ground floor of the hotel, and boasts a plum Aldwych location, right in the centre of bustling Covent Garden and mere moments away from Theatreland.
For the Christmas season, Radio Rooftop is available to hire out exclusively, while sectional hire is available for smaller parties. Companies looking to throw an epic Christmas bash can hire out the entire venue for up to 220 guests, while taking advantage of Radio Rooftop’s dedicated events team who are on-hand to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch.
If you’re hosting a smaller group, various sections of the rooftop space are available to hire, starting from a £50 minimum spend per guest for three hours. Aside from exclusive hire, there are three main spaces available to book out; the Riverside section can welcome up to 100 guests (with 50 under shelter) and is the best spot for great views. Elsewhere, the Alpha section boasts 270 degree views and can host up to 50 guests, while the Covent Garden side is the place to be to catch the sunset, accommodating up to 100 guests.
Radio Rooftop takes inspiration from the Mediterranean for its all-day menu, which encompasses breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. For your Christmas party, you can enjoy tempting small plates such as cheese croquettes with smoked paprika aioli and miniature beef sliders, while sharing platters feature Anglo-Indian tapas and Mexican options.
You might be thinking that a rooftop venue isn’t suitable for a Christmas party, but Radio Rooftop is easily adaptable to deal with the challenges of winter. First of all, the venue is open from breakfast, so is a great option for anyone looking to host a daytime Christmas party that still has a touch of glamour. Radio Rooftop also features retractable awnings to protect guests from the elements, while during colder evenings the terrace can be equipped with heaters and blankets.
