This stylish Italian does what it does best right through the festive season. Eschewing gimmicky themes, it delivers three courses in a classically Mediterranean style for seated Christmas lunches and dinners, and canapes for standing cocktail receptions.
Groups can enjoy Bernardi’s festive feasting menus at social tables within the elegant, ground-floor main space, or more formal long tables can be set up in front of the bar, depending on the size of your party and preferences. Alternatively, groups can take over the downstairs cocktail bar. With its own terrace, this darkly handsome space is as well set up for sit-down celebrations as it is standing receptions, and brings a cosy atmosphere to winter events. The restaurant has a late licence, so Christmas revelry can continue into the night without any restrictions, and the bar is always very well stocked for such occasions.
Bernardi’s can also be hired in its entirety for whole-company Christmas parties of up to 142 seated or 200 standing guests, and its location just a short walk from Marble Arch tube station makes it ideal for offices all along the central line.
The kind of food you and your guests can look forward to is contemporary Italian, made with passion and flair. Choose between the three-, four-, five- and six-course feasting menus on offer and prepare to indulge in the likes of burrata with heritage beetroot, rocket pesto and toasted walnuts; casarecce pasta with roasted delica pumpkin, sage and ricotta; guinea fowl breast served with swiss chard, peperonata and aged balsamic jus; and chocolate and pistachio cake with fresh dates. Dishes are designed to share, but can be individually plated on request – just speak to a member of the friendly events team.
If it’s traditional turkey and tinsel you’re after, you should probably look elsewhere; but if it’s a classy joint with bright interiors and excellent food and drink provisions, Bernardi’s is a winner.
