Found under a railway arch on a quiet street, Bermondsey Social Club is a blank canvas venue with mass appeal which is available to hire for corporate Christmas parties.
Thanks to its relaxed vibe and the added benefit of having a secluded outdoor space, Bermondsey Social Club feels like an escape from the hubbub of London. In reality, this couldn’t be further from the truth, as Bermondsey Social Club boasts fantastic transport links, being just a 10 minute walk away from Bermondsey tube station on the Jubilee line and Surrey Quays station on the East London Overground.
Bermondsey Social Club is available to hire for all sorts of festive soirees, with the venue able to accommodate up to 120 guests in the indoor space, and a further 40 on the outdoor terrace. Arguably the venue’s biggest selling point when it comes to hosting a lively Christmas party is that Bermondsey Social Club benefits from a late license which allows functions here to rumble on until 4am.
You might think an outdoor area isn’t suited to a Christmas party taking place in the wintertime, but Bermondsey Social Club’s terrace is entirely covered and comes complete with heaters to keep everyone warm, while the long bench-style seating is great for larger groups. It’s a great space, which could easily be transformed into a charming winter garden where guests can take a break from the partying indoors.
The venue also comes equipped with a fully functioning bar, as well as helpful AV equipment such as DJ kit, a lighting rig and a projector. As Bermondsey Social Club doesn’t have in-house catering, it’s best suited to more casual drinks receptions and standing events during the Christmas party season. However, if you would like nibbles or canapés at your festive function, the venue does allow external caterers to come in, and the team is happy to recommend some of their favourite caterers should you need some inspiration.
